Laura’s first album, My Favorite Things, was recorded at Soundtrek Recording Studios in Kansas City, Missouri on February 28 and 29, 2004. She chose 11 of her favorite tunes in different genres, including Latin, ballad and swing. On the session were Paul Smith, piano, Bob Bowman, bass, Todd Strait, drums and percussion, Danny Embrey, guitar, and Rod Fleeman, guitar. Danny Embrey arranged and produced the album, with arrangements from Laura Chalk and Rod Fleeman.
